Spring Catch Up

We now have a new fence, but for a few weekends, one of Alaire’s favorite past-times was spying on the neighbors. Not really, she loved to watch our next door doggy, Porter. She also insisted on wearing boots with her shorts. What a raggamuffin.

Crazy Hair

A phenomenon that brings Graham & I endless amusement is the state of Alaire’s unruly, sometimes straight, sometimes curly mob of hair in the morning. This series was from awhile back, but still makes me giggle. I admit, the likely culprit is that after taking out the pigtails or braids at night, we “shake, shake, shake” our heads (then run to the mirror and laugh at the site). I’ll enjoy this while I can; no doubt the day will come when laughing at crazy hair will be a big no-no (I’m imagining the teenage years).

I love Broccoli!

Last Friday evening I decided it was time to reintroduce broccoli. After several attempts with no success, I assumed my broccoli would be appreciated only as an offering to the compost gods.

Then this happened. Graham had run to the store; and knowing he wouldn’t believe me, I smartly grabbed by Smart Phone and captured the precious and rare toddler moment on film.

I consider it one of my better parenting moments. Child eats broccoli. Score mom.

Enjoy!

Alaire goes to OMSI

We celebrated Alaire’s birthday part 2 & Uncle Zach’s birthday with a playdate at OMSI. While the forest exhibit, sand box, and other play areas were fun, our little water-baby escaped our grasp and ran back to the water area at every opportunity.

Shenanigans!

photoWe really did put jammies on our child before bed. Our routine peek revealed a stripped off sleep sack and MIA jammie pants. Sometimes I wonder what goes on in that room between mommy and daddy tucking her in and the monkey falling asleep.

First Pedicure

Graham and I had a funny surprise when we removed Alaire’s socks & shoes after picking her up from Grammy & Popa’s house. Pink toes!

“Off the socks!” she says. Once the pesky socks are removed she says, “Wooooowwww!” admiring her first pedicure. This scene has been repeated about 100 times in the last week! Thanks Grammy.
