Happy 1st Birthday Emery!

On Saturday, July 16, 2016 we trekked to the zoo with Grammy & Popa to celebrate the big #1! Petting goats, watching the playful otters, visiting the real Lilly the elephant, and riding the carousel with Grammy are among our favorite highlights. Emery got to choose her animal friend at the gift shop (thank you Grammy & Popa)–to my surprise, she went straight for an elephant!? Now Alaire’s Lilly has a friend, Rosey. For lunch, we celebrated at Portland Brewing and Em blew out her first candle. That evening, we convened at our neighborhood watering hole, Lucky Lab, for our best friend Orla’s 4th birthday! Oh what a busy day!

On Sunday, we hosted Em’s little birthday soiree with the usual gang. Bubbles, pool party, sandbox–July birthdays sure are fun!

Emery also found her legs and officially started walking over her birthday weekend.
