Thank you to all who joined for our first cake smooshing! A day full of love! Portland offered the gift of beautiful weather allowing Watts & Alaire to play in the back yard with Alaire’s new elephant that shoots balls in the air. Alaire finally got to wear her purple party dress, a gift given from one of my dear friends and professional mentors, Susan Bladholm. The gift came with a disclaimer that Susan never buys impractical gifts, but after seeing the color I painted the baby room, this dress, hanging in a shop window, begged to be gifted to baby Vail.

Thank you to our incredibly generous and amazing parents for helping us with the party – from set-up to food. Thank you to Art & Rita for the many miles traveled. To Gramma & Hank for braving the big city, and to my mom and Don, no doubt Shutterfly’s best customers, for creating edition two of Alaire’s family book, capturing our most precious family memories. We so, so appreciate all of the love that surrounds our family.
